The idyllic island resort was one of three nominees for the “Favorite Romantic Getaway,” at the 2018/19 edition of the annual Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards, which included Cheval Blanc Randheli in the Maldives and The Roseate in New Delhi.
The awards celebrate the best in travel, as voted for by discerning readers and consumers of the brand in the GCC. They bring together fabulous destinations, luxurious hotels, the most comfortable in-flight seats, and more, and for the past six months, avid travelers have been voting for their top favorites in a variety of categories, spanning airlines, airports, cruises, destinations, hotels, and travel organizers.
Destination awards range from the best places for culinary adventures to cultural sights and road trips, while hotels cover romantic getaways, family holidays and spa retreats – both in the Middle East and beyond, and the highly anticipated awards are conferred based on reader-generated votes.
The awards were handed out revealed at a red-carpet, black-tie gala at the JW Marriott Marquis in Dubai on February 27, 2019, where live music and plenty of celebratory merriment added to the ambiance.
